Tech Tip: Use 2 apps on your screen at the same time
There are times when a second monitor would be really useful, maybe you need to compare two spreadsheets or open your email and your calendar at the same time. If you have windows 7, 8 or 10 you’re in luck….
Windows key and the arrow keys
First application: Pressing the Windows key and the Left arrow keys will dock the window you’re viewing to the left-hand side of the screen.
Second application: Pressing the Windows key and the Right arrow keys will dock the window you’re viewing to the right-hand side of the screen.
Pressing the Windows key and the Up arrow will maximise a window and pressing the Windows key and the Down arrow will resize and then minimise the window.
Use Shift: To stretch a window vertically, press the Windows key + Shift + the Up arrow. If you have multiple monitors use the Windows key + Shift + the Left or Right arrow keys to move the window to another monitor
