In order to provide our services Mear Technology will collect personal information about our clients and their staff. Examples of such information are:

The Mear Technology website automatically detects information relating to the display properties of your computer. This information is collected to help understand the ways our webservices are accessed the site. This could help us in the future to better support different platforms such as, for example, mobile telephones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).

Mear Technology will only pass your detail to the following third parties

Couriers
Mear Technology will use courier services to distribute hardware to clients addresses. To facilitate this distribution the courier will require the Name, Address, contact Telephone number of the recipient.

Distributors/Suppliers
Mear Technology may ship products directly from our distributors/suppliers to clients addresses. To facilitate this distribution the distributors/suppliers will need details to pass to their courier. The courier will require the Name, Address, contact Telephone number of the recipient.

Accountancy platform
Mear Technology use an online cloud service www.quickfile.co.uk for estimates/invoicing and accountancy. The following information will be held here

To provide services, warranties and validate license entitlement some services require end user details. Such providers include

Data will always be transferred to our 3rd parties via a secure process typically via a secure web form. Where paper contracts are signed and completed we will use our own https://securely.mear.technology service to ensure the personal data is delivered securely to the correct person.

Remote Access and Endpoint Management

Mear Technology utilise two services to provide remote support to our support clients

Simplehelp Remote Support
Our on-demand tool simple help provides remote access to our customers. No data is sent to any 3rd parties. The agent pulls the host name, internal and external IP address and current logged in user put provides access to Mear Technology support technicians to provide support. A disclaimer is presented at the start of each on demand session. No data collected is shared with any 3rd party.

Autotask Endpoint Management
Mear Technology utilise Autotask Endpoint Management to monitor and support our customers computers/servers/networks. All data is transmitted between the installed agent and the Autotask Pinotage server which is located within the EU (Ireland). The server we use is pinotage.centrastage.net (more info).
Autotask Endpoint Management allows Mear Technology staff to access and extract information from our client’s equipment, To detect performance thresholds and run scripts and programs to react to various symptoms.

Data Protection

Site
Any information submitted to this site is used expressly for the use of Mear Technology and the purposes for which you provide it. Mear Technology will not pass your information to any other parties unless this is made clear to you.

Company
Any personal information provided to Mear Technology about our clients and its staff will be treated with the strictest confidence and used purely to support and service our customers. No information will be shared with any 3rd parties unless legally required.
