What is Disk Encryption

Disk Encryption is the process of securing the data on your hard drive using an algorithm that is almost impossible to crack. This means that if your computer is accessed by someone else who does not have the correct decryption credentials (password usually) then all they will see is a seemingly random string of characters.

Full Disk Encryption
Full Disk Encryption, powered by Check Point, with pre-boot authentication ensures that only authorized users can access data on protected computers. A user must provide a valid ID and password before the operating system will boot. The encryption is certified to the highest standards and Alertsec helpdesk provides users with 24/7 assistance to access locked computers.
Media Encryption
Encrypt USB sticks, external Hard Drives, CD’s and DVD’s
Port Control
Control of the activity on all computer ports and includes centralized logging of port activity. Access to endpoint ports such as USB, FireWire, Bluetooth, WiFi
Compliance Checks
All endpoints are scanned for compliance with pre-defined security policies. Administrators can ensure that endpoints are compliant in a number of different areas:  Endpoint Security Client software is up-to-date  Endpoint has the latest authorized Operating System Service Packs  Check for missing or non-authorized applications

Note - Java Runtime Environment 1.5 or higher needs to be installed on target Macs.
Note - Available software applications for Mac are Full Disk Encryption, Media Encryption, Compliance and Firewall.


Microsoft Account cloud login used in Windows 8.1 and 10 is not supported with Login encryption. Pre boot encryption must be used or account must be migrated to an Active Directory or local user account.

We do not support Home Editions of Windows or Linux systems
